About this free tour
Beneath the stones of the Gothic Quarter lies the first Barcelona: Barcino, the Roman colony founded in the 1st century BC. On this free tour you'll discover the remains of the Temple of Augustus, the imperial walls and the city's original forum, accompanied at all times by a historian guide. You'll walk the same streets where Roman soldiers, merchants and craftsmen once lived, and understand how that small colony became the metropolis it is today.
